Rome Destination Travel Guide

Rome in Italy is both known to have two sides of the coin as its facade because the city has both American and European cultures. Rome is considered to be one of the best and famous historical cities known around the globe. Amongst its neighbors, it is also one of the most unique in all of Europe. Rome cannot be visited and toured all in one day because it has so much to offer for the holidaymaker.

Rome’s main attraction is the Coliseum, but one of the most overlooked parts of the trip is trying to survive each time you cross the road. Cars and small motorcycle will never stop for you; you will just have to know proper timing and technique while crossing the bricked streets of the city.

Coffee shops are one of the thriving businesses in Rome. This is due to their great brews that stay unique and fresh unlike those American, London, French and Seattle coffee chains that all taste the same. Always look for Roman coffee while in Rome.

Obvious travel itinerary for your Rome visit is the Coliseum, Pantheon, Vatican City and the national monument along with its ruins. Film is a thriving art in Rome, too. Many artists do filming here so expect a busy film crew anywhere in the streets. Also Opera houses and performances are very abundant everywhere, so be sure to purchase your tickets a day ahead to save yourself of the burdens of lining up for tickets.

Enjoy Travelling To Paris

Every year thousands of Brits like to cross the channel and visit Paris, the capital city of France, and a lot of people that I have spoken to have enjoyed more than one visit in the past. So why do many Brits enjoy visiting Paris so much? Well I think there are three main reasons.

1. Paris Is One Of The Best Cities In The World.

Whenever there is a poll or survey listing the top cities in the world, you can be sure that Paris will be near the top of the list. The simple fact is that Paris is a beautiful city and is steeped in history. You obviously have the Eiffel Tower which is the iconic tower that is known the world over, but you also have many other attractions and sites of historical importance nearby.

For a start there is the Louvre, which is home to the Mona Lisa and the Venus de Milo, as well as hundreds of other paintings from some of the world’s best artists. You also have the Notre Dame Cathedral, which is one of the finest in Europe, and the Arc de Triomphe and Champs Elysees, which is a symbol of France’s previous triumphs. Plus with the Seine river running through the city, you can marvel at the beauty of Paris by taking a leisurely boat trip.

2. Paris Is Very Close To Home And Easy To Get To.

The location of the UK means that they we have the whole of Europe on our doorstep, but France is our closest neighbour. With Paris being in the north of France, it is therefore very close to home and easy to get to.

You can travel to the south coast and get a short ferry trip over the channel, you can get the Eurostar and travel by rail, or you can simply book a short flight from your nearest airport. It really is a very easy city to get to, and is only takes an hour or two to get there, which is a lot quicker than many car journeys within the UK, for example.

3. Paris Is Perfect For Short Trips And Weekend Getaways.

Because of the fact that this major capital city is so close to the UK, it is ideal for short trips and weekend getaways. You don’t necessarily need to book any time off work because you can leave on Friday afternoon and get back fairly easily on Sunday evening.

The great thing is that if you get a flight, you can be there and on your way to your hotel in little more than an hour or so. This certainly beats getting in the car and facing a long trip to the nearest dreary seaside resort in the UK, which is what a lot of people have tended to do in the past.
