A Guide To The Annual World Travel Market Exhibition

One of my favorite traveling exhibitions each year takes place in the city of London and is an event attended by exhibitors and visitors from around the world. We discuss in more detail what you can expect from the annual World Travel Market.

World Travel Market exhibition took place at Earls Court Exhibition Center, but in recent years with the introduction of the ExCel Centre in London’s Docklands, the show takes place in this new exhibition hall.

The event almost always takes place in November and attracts a somewhat International List of exhibitors and visitors, both for British companies working with national and international companies and international companies seeking to build businesses in the UK or to attract the British market. In recent years the list of exhibitors included a series of high profile travel companies, event management companies, air travel and accommodation related businesses. A number of tourist offices, wholesalers, and tourist attractions are also represented. Last year, the exposure to less than fifty thousand participants from 197 countries, with 52% of participants from outside the UK.

In conjunction with the Travel Exhibition three days, the organizers started one day “Responsible Tourism” and run the day usually involves lectures, debates and discussions on issues affecting the future of tourism and the areas and ecological sustainability.

The exhibition is open for normal business and the general public and the early registration access is usually free and get a map available for exhibitors at the entrance. The show is divided into geographic regions and by sector, ie by airlines, hotels, travel, wellness, online meetings, and always consists of a series of discussions, presentations and workshops.

The ExCel Centre is relatively accessible and there are some good hotels within walking distance of the site. Center can be reached by rail Docklands, the change in the DLR to the London Underground at standstill, as Canning Town. By car, take the M25 and M11, and there are a few thousand on-site parking that makes life much easier. If you are flying to London City Airport is literally just five to ten minutes of the meeting and therefore a great airport to fly for convenience. London City Airport serves more than thirty-five locations in Europe, so you are able to schedule your flight suit.
